Equality and diversity training teaches employees how to operate amongst an equal and diverse workforce.  It includes anti-discriminatory practices as well as how to report inappropriate behaviour resulting in more positive working relationships and ultimately leading to greater performance and productivity.

Diversity in The Workplace – Unconscious Bias – Unconscious Bias refers to the biases we have of which are not in conscious control. This course will enable delegates to understand the idea of unconscious bias and elated concepts, experience how unconscious bias affects our behaviour and identify the impact unconscious bias has on your organisation.
Diversity in the Workplace – Transgender – This diversity and equality training course will provide you with an overview and understanding of the key issues relating to Transgender and diversity in the workplace.
Diversity in the Workplace – Disability – This disability diversity training course will provide you with an overview and understanding of the key issues relating to disability and diversity in the workplace.
Diversity in The Workplace – Sexual Orientation – This sexual orientation diversity training course will provide staff with an overview and understanding of the key issues relating to sexual orientation and diversity in the workplace.

Aim
The aim of this course is to introduce delegates to the concepts of equal opportunities and diversity and to develop healthy working relationships through reflective thinking, empathy, understanding, raised awareness, sensitivity and a desire to be fair.
Outcomes
State the meaning of equality and diversity and why it’s important
Identify the groups of people / areas that are covered by UK legislation
Identify your responsibilities in relation to equality and diversity(DDA) and discuss equality and diversity issues through case studies
Explore people’s attitudes feelings and perspectives on equality difference and diversity, on discrimination and harassment and on bullying and exclusion
Examine your own prejudices and stereotypes; and see how prejudice translates into active discrimination
